As a board-certified Naturopathic practitioner who has worked with couples and men to increase their reproductive potential, I work at the intersection of men's health and reproductive health to uncover underlying contributing factors to male factor infertility that are often overseen by conventional medicine.  The inspiration for my work stems from personal experience. Over 20 years ago my husband and I went through our own fertility journey. At that time there was very little helpful information regarding male factor infertility other than the standard recommendations we often still see today.  My personal experience coupled with my comprehensive training give me unique insight into the challenges facing men in their desire to become fathers.

ABOUT ANNE

Anne has found taking a holistic approach to increase reproductive potential can help make a significant shift in the energy needed for reproduction.  Combining her unique background in naturopathic medicine and TCM/TJM Anne has created a multi-layered approach to maximise reproductive potential and support men with male factor infertility.

Anne has always been curious by nature. Everything from quantum mechanics to the inner workings of the mind/body connection have captivated her attention. She has found a way to understand and integrate these seemingly unrelated topics through the lens of Oriental Medicine.  Fascinated by Asian cultures and Japan in particular at a young age, Anne started coursework in Traditional Japanese Medicine (TJM) while living in Germany.  Subsequently, while in training to become a Naturopath she became more familiar with the western model of human physiology and biology. Through her own fertility journey, coupled with her extensive training, a new passionate interest was sparked within her to create an integrated model of reproductive potential.

Anne utilizes a wide range of allopathic as well as complimentary health modalities that offer the best of Eastern and Western approaches to support healing the human body. Working one-on-one she develops a tailor-made protocol based on the client's specific needs.

TREATMENT APPROACH

Anne utilizes a comprehensive assessment process to create an individualised approach for treating male factor infertility. An initial intake involves a holistic 100+ point questionnaire that encompasses Eastern as well as Western models of the human body and reproductive system. In addition, a medical history is taken which includes all relevant previous testing (hormonal, ultrasounds, blood work, semen analyses, etc). Upon completion, specific recommendations are made and a health plan is developed based on the individual's needs. The goal is to increase energy for reproduction and sperm health. This can be accomplished by addressing mitochondrial health, cellular electron exchange, macro- and micro nutrient deficiencies, energy systems, and detoxification, to name a few. Over the course of three months we will work together and meet regularly, making adjustments and optimizing the health plan as necessary.
