Lona Vyas is committed to Men and Women’s Health and Wellbeing through the practice of Urology. She studied Medicine at the St George’s, University of London and did her Urological Training at several renowned hospitals both in the UK and America.
She has a wide range of experience with general urology including Male fertility, benign prostatic hyperplasia, TURP, prostate cancer diagnostics, urinary tract stone disease, urinary tract infections in men and women, circumcision, vasectomy, inguino-scrotal surgery, female incontinence, and haematuria diagnostics.
She also completed 3 years of Subspecialty Training in Andrology and attended the Presbyterian-Cornell Hospital in New York to refine her microsurgical skills. She is currently a Consultant Urologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and an Honorary Consultant at St George’s University Hospitals, as well as a trainer, with excellent feedback, within the NHS in London.
She approaches each of her patients as a unique individual and seeks to tailor treatment and support accordingly. She views the healing journey, which include definitive surgical treatment, as a holistic collaborative process, which includes joint decision making and is based on open and honest communication. She has published papers and book chapters in prostate cancer, penile cancer and fertility, both nationally and internationally and is a member of EAU, RSM and ESHRE.
